History

The McCammon Rodeo started in 1937. In the 1940's it became the Marsh Valley Rodeo Association created by a committee that had established the offical rodeo bylaws. In 1950, the document was voted and approved by the McCammon Ward of the LDS Church, which sponsored this annual rodeo. 

 

Marsh Valley Rodeo was orginnally held on the 24th of July in conjuntion of Pioneer Day. It was held in the afternoon. In 1957, lights were added to arena and the rodeo changed to a two evening performances and later to the weekend of July. 

 

The first Grand Marshall was Leigh Gittens in 1982 and the first Rodeo Queen was Blanche Romriell.
